Syncathy bridges international film & television and English-speaking audiences through precision localization and strategic distribution across North America and beyond.
About Syncathy
Syncathy is a localization and distribution company specializing in bringing diverse, non-English language films to North American and other English-speaking audiences. We partner with studios, independent producers, sales agents, and other rights holders to ensure their work reaches its fullest potential — linguistically, commercially, and culturally.
The Team
Bill brings over 30 years of experience building companies in the US distribution, international sales and production industry and most recently, companies operating at the intersection of entertainment and technology. Prior to launching Syncathy, he held long-term senior executive roles with OddLot Entertainment, Overseas Filmgroup/First Look Studios, Pixomondo, RightsTrade and Adapt Entertainment. In his roles with those companies, he created joint ventures with Lionsgate, Sierra/Affinity and Digital Domain and orchestrated both corporate finance and project finance for over 150 productions. Bill has also executive produced commercially and culturally significant films such as Hell or High Water, Ender's Game, and Drive.
Liam brings extensive experience scaling product and business operations at high-growth technology companies. As Filmhub's founding Acquisitions Executive, he built and managed a robust portfolio of producer and studio clients and played a critical role in scaling the company's acquisitions strategy to a library of over 30,000 titles worldwide. He has advised producers, studios, and sales agents on content positioning, audience targeting, and distribution strategy across thousands of titles. Prior to Filmhub, Liam has experience working across tech (UiPath, Snapwire) and entertainment (Legendary Entertainment). At Syncathy, Liam leads operational strategy and partnerships.
Stephen brings nearly 30 years of experience in film acquisitions and distribution strategy. He has held key acquisitions roles at Blockbuster Entertainment, Millennium, Weinstein Company, Universal and Saban Films, where he developed deep expertise in identifying, evaluating, and closing deals on international titles for English-speaking markets. Stephen is Syncathy's primary liaison for facilitating strategic international acquisitions, with extensive relationships across global production companies, sales agents, festivals, and rights holders.
What We Offer
Syncathy offers competitive terms, including minimum guarantees, favorable revenue share splits, and deal structures designed to reflect the true value of your title. We move fast and treat every acquisition as a long-term partnership.
We go beyond translation in adapting your titles for English-speaking audiences. Using our proprietary dubbing and lip-syncing process alongside native-speaking linguists, we ensure every performance feels original — not dubbed.
Rigorous QC processes across every deliverable, covering translation accuracy, lip-sync fidelity, audio mix, timecoding, and platform technical specifications, so your title meets the highest standards before it reaches any screen.
Deep relationships with streaming platforms, home entertainment labels and exhibitors across North America, the UK, Australia, and beyond. We place your title where it will perform.
Strategic English-language positioning from day one, including trailer adaptation, poster localization, press outreach and audience-building campaigns tailored to each title and territory.
Our goal is to maximize revenue for non-English titles in English-speaking markets. Through our proprietary dubbing and lip-syncing process, targeted marketing strategy, and established distribution relationships, we unlock royalty streams that would otherwise remain out of reach.
